You Can Help Nourish Children in Need
This past month through our MannaLIVE! Nourishing hope campaign, in one day Mannatech raised $70,000 to provide 320,000 meals to those in need. Our first deliveries will be to food banks in Dallas and Southern California. On May 5, Al Bala, CEO and president of Mannatech is personally delivering OneMeal packs with PhyoBlend powder to a partner food bank in conjunction with Community Crossings in Dallas.

“We are continuing to raise money in response to this crisis, and with food lines increasing, we are committed to stepping up to do more,” said Landen Fredrick, Chairman of the Board for M5M. “We need your help if we are to reach our goal of $250,000 during this crisis.”

In the Costa Rica Incentive, we’ll experience nature at its best as we walk in the clouds and rain forests. It has been a busy and productive summer for M5M! With the partners around the world, M5M has delivered over 2 million servings of PhytoBlend powder worldwide, and approximately 20,000 kids in Africa and South America will benefit from it!

Mannatech’s PhytoBlend powder is a plant-based powder that mixes easily into a variety of foods such as soups, rice and porridge. It contains more than 20 vitamins and minerals to help promote and maintain good health and vitality.

Kids Around the World (KATW), a non-profit organization, received 2.1 million servings of PhytoBlend powder in July for their OneMeal packets from M5M. KATW has also been busy working on an initiative to help those suffering in Mozambique with the devastation after Cyclone Idai, one of the worst tropical storms to ever hit the continent of Africa and left over 1,000 people dead with thousands still missing. KATW is donating 271,000 meals containing PhytoBlend powder to help with the famine due to crops being destroyed.

M5M has shipped 200 boxes of PhytoBlend powder to its partner Convoy of Hope as well. These products will be delivered to El Salvador for 16,000 kids to get regular nutritious meals for an entire year.

In South Africa, Mannatech’s local Associates are delivering PhytoBlend powder to the schools and daycares in the program, more children will receive proper nutrition through Mannatech’s products.

Zambia got their shipment of PhytoBlend powder as well! Through the partnership with Hands at Work in Africa, an aid group that supports 21 communities in Zambia. M5M was able to deliver PhytoBlend powder to the children in these communities for the first time, and more than 3000 kids will benefit from it.

Employees of Mannatech, Incorporated gathered together at the world headquarters in Flower Mound, Texas, on November 16 to assemble over 55,000 meals for malnourished children around the world. Working with Mission 5 Million (M5M) and Kids Around the World, each meal packet includes Mannatech’s PhytoBlend powder and will provide badly needed nourishment to children.

“The love and energy in the room was amazing and wonderful,” said Sarah Louthan, Executive Director of M5M. “To have nearly 100 Mannatech employees and even some local Mannatech Associates, giving their time and energy to prepare 55,000 meals is heart-warming and inspirational.”

Each assembled meal packet contains six servings, and includes a mixture of lentils, rice, carrots, onions, tomatoes, celery, white cabbage, bell peppers, flax seed and Mannatech’s PhytoBlend powder, which combine to form highly nutritious meals.

“Just add water,” added Louthan.

“I loved that we could all take just a little bit of time and make such a positive impact,” said Stephanie Lusk, Mannatech’s Senior Director, Human Resources. “We assembled 55,000 meals in just a couple of hours, and we had such a fun time doing it!”

“It was a great thing to do,” said Michelle Johnston, Global Marketing Specialist. “You can say you care about kids, but this really gave us a way to show it. Especially at Thanksgiving time and the beginning of the Holiday season. We’re helping thousands of children eat better and get the nutrition they need.”

Mannatech, M5M and Kids Around the World have combined to provide 16 million meals for malnourished children in 2018. For every $100 in Mannatech products purchased, Mannatech donates a month’s worth of PhytoBlend for a child. One-time or recurring donations can be made directly to M5M.

Each serving contains Mannatech’s PhytoBlend product, a plant-based powder that mixes easily into a variety of foods such as soups, rice and porridge. It contains over 20 vitamins and minerals to help promote good health and vitality. PhytoBlend provides many of the nutrients otherwise found in fruits, vegetables, meals, minerals, grains and oils. Unfortunately, many communities around the world do not have access to this variety of nutrient sources, leaving millions of children malnourished.

“Our specific goal with Kids Around the World is eight million meal servings in 2018, and at mid-year we are at four million,” said Louthan. “The remaining four million distributed by year-end.”

The balance of the 16 million meal servings in 2018 will be distributed through M5M’s partnerships with InspiraGuate in Guatemala, Convoy of Hope in El Salvador, Hands at Work in Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Zambia, and other charity partners in South Africa.

“The ability we have to provide PhytoBlend and millions of meals is possible because of our partnership with Mannatech,” added Louthan. “For every $100 spent on Mannatech products, a one-month supply of PhytoBlend powder is donated to help nourish a child in need. It is a wonderful demonstration of love of concern for the children of the world.”
